  Sony Vegas 10 pro – batch render problem with missing video

  I have a bunch of avi files (recorded with Fraps) that I want to convert to wmv, and I’m using a batch render to do it. I did a batch of 30 files and after the render, about 5 of them had missing video (ie: black screen), usually only at the beginning of the clip for a few seconds, but one or two had the whole video black. The audio is fine.

  Each video is relatively short, about 1 minute long each, on average. I’ve never had this problem before when rendering files individually. I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 10.0e (build 738) 64 bit.

  Also, is there any way to get the batch render script to keep the same filenames for the new wmv videos that the avi files had?

  I solved the problem by using a different method for the batch render. The default batch render still gives me the same problem, but I tried the Proxy Stream conversion method (https://www.guide-nexus.info/2011/09/26/how-to-batch-convert-or-compress-videos-in-sony-vegas/) and it worked perfectly.
