  Project – file could not be found

  I have a project I worked on a few months ago.
  As I needed more storage space, I moved the video files from one hard drive to another.
  Now when I open the project, I get an error that says:
  “… file could not be found in specific location…”

  Strangely, even though I know exactly where the files are, the file that Vegas is looking has a different name.

  For instance, I know that the first file in my project is
  20110403.mts

  But Vegas is looking for a file called
  20110403100448.mts

  It is doing this same thing to all the files in the project. And to make it even more confusion, there are several videos with the 20110403.mts name in different folders.

  Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to better re-link the project files to the videos after the video files are moved?

  Well after numerous attempts to reconnect the files, I finally gave up and just re-created the project.

  Still don’t know what happened, or how those files got all messed up.
  But just wanted to close this issue in case someone may have started to look into this post.

  Hope it doesn’t happen again…
