  Adding multiple images in reverse.

  Hi there,

  I need to add 1000 still images to the timeline ( 1 per frame ).

  But, I need to add them in reverse order, ie. image number 1000 is played first and image 1 played last at the end.

  If I drag with image 1, they of course insert in sequential order, 1 to 1000. If I drag with image 1000, they still insert lowest to highest number but, with only image 1000 at the beggining ( which makes no sense to me ).

  I’m sure images used to run in reverse order if you dragged to the timeline with the last one? Not anymore it seems!

  Does anybody know of a method, without rendering out then reversing the rendered clip? I’m definately not doing one at a time either!

  If you’re using Vegas Pro, load them as an image sequence, drop the result on your timeline, apply a Velocity envelope and set it to -100%.

  If you’ve never done an image sequence before here are the steps.
  Make sure all of them are in the same folder and are sequentially numbered.
  File – Import – Media, browse to the folder where the images are, click on the first one in the sequence, click Open still image sequence at the bottom of this window, click Open, make any necessary adjustments in the tab that comes up and click OK.
  The sequence will now be sitting in your Project Media waiting to be added to the timeline.

  That import as image sequence tip got me there. Neat little trick.

  You’re very welcome Marcus.
  I use the image sequence method when I get time-lapse files or files from animators as it’s the easiest way to do it.

  Just rename your images in reverse order!! This is as simple as selecting all images clicking on 1000th image and pressing F2 to rename all in sequential order but in reverse.Before that save a copy of all images(backup).

  Sorry Aswin,

  I do not follow. Are you doing this in Windows (7) or in Vegas (Pro 11)?
  I’ve tried in both and cannot get a reversed number sequence result.

  The file renamed/clicked on is put first but, the other files are still renamed in their original lowest to highest sequence, – bracketed, and brackets are not good.

  Can you give a step by step breakdown or a link to clear instructions, as this is a feature I’ve been searching for and it would greatly help?
