    Hello All,

i’m working on my first project using Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. I’m having some problems editing some camcorder files which I would like to burn to DVD.

My camera is a Panasonic Lumix (pre AVCHD type). it creates .mov 1280×720 files at 30 FPS.

I have been able to open these files and edit with them. (I notice that the audio and video is linked.

When I come to create a menued DVD i get the following message as the project is about to be opened in Architect. Then when it opens there is no audio track.

File C:UsersAngelikaAppDataLocalSonyVegas Movie Studio HD Platinum11.0Lumix_test.ac3 does not have an appropriate stream to open.

I’m trying to create a pal dvd. Any help will be much appreciated

    Thanks

    Grant

If Vegas SP doesn’t support the AC3 audio you might try transcoding the audio to Wave or Mpg, then add that audio. There are free transcoding software titles out there if you don’t have one.

Same question here with my Sony AVCHD camera.

Why would Vegas Movie Studio ask you if you want to create a DVD with Menus which it knows it is going to push to DVD Architect to create create an .ac3 file that DVD Architect cannot read?

Figured it out, the answer was in another thread here. Build 150 of DVD Architect is ‘broken’ updated to Build 157 and the error is gone.
