.wmv rendering errors- what to do?
Hello everyone. Long-time reader, first-time poster here, so please bear with me if this is long-winded or in the wrong place!
Lately I have been having a lot of trouble rendering to .wmv in Vegas (both 7 and 10). No matter what I do, there always seems to be errors in the final product- either unwatchable choppiness or missed/overwritten frames (especially when serious effects are applied) or errors in the audio (usually none at all or with a couple seconds missing at a time). It’s maddening, and I can’t figure out what the problem is- I’ve played with all the settings I can play with to no effect.
More often than not, rendering as .mp4 with comparable settings avoids these problems, but of course a bit of video quality is lost in so doing. For obvious reasons, I would like my videos to be of the highest clarity and sharpness possible. I’d really like to be able to render in HD .wmv as opposed to defaulting to .mp4, but these issues I’ve mentioned make that impossible.
Can anyone help me out here? I really have no idea what to do… anything you could offer me by way of advice would be hugely, HUGELY appreciated.
Thanks everyone!
