Splitting ‘N’ Joining [+stuff]
After splitting multiple videos into multiple clips, I would like to join them into a single clip. Sony Vegas just does not want me to do so! Even Windows Movie Maker has this feature. Also, I am going to render my video at 720×576. Will this upload to YouTube at a modest 720p? Last time I tried, I used 720×480 and it uploaded to 480p.
I also heard that converting a traditional format to a native flash format will make a YouTube upload smoother and result in a higher quality.

It most certainly does.
If it didn’t, no one would be able to edit with it,

You won’t gain anything by doing this as 720×576 is SD while 720p is HD.

Use the Sony AVC Internet 4:3 SD 25p preset.

Yes, join them together in the timeline. That is what I was going for. But how, is what I asked.

Let me clarify my original reply.
Lay the clips out on the timeline in the order you want the final product to be.
They can be one after the other or you can overlap them to create a dissolve (i.e. fade from one to another).
An FX can be dropped on to the dissolve if you want to.
Once this is done, render the project to the desired format.
The format used depends on what your needs are (i.e. DVD, web, other). -
