Hello everyone, I’m new here and found this forum by Google. I recently purchased Sony Platinum and have learned the majority of it. However, I am not quite sure how to select one clip along to change to slow motion with the slow motion taking over the entire timeline.

I have tried to figure it out, but cannot. Solution anyone? Thank you in advance for your time.

Platinum doesn’t have the Velocity envelope feature that Pro does but I think this will work for you.
Place your cursor at then end of the event, hold down the Ctrl key (the cursor changes to a rectangle with the ~ symbol under it) and drag it to the right as much as needed.
This will give you up to a 4X reduction in speed (i.e. 25%).
If you drag it to the left, you can increase the speed by the same amount (i.e. 400%).
BTW, you can accomplish the same thing by right-clicking the event, selecting Properties and changing the value of the Playback rate.
Be advised that the event will remain the same length on the timeline until you stretch or shrink it to the new length.
If it’s a slo-mo event, remember to watch for the dip at the top of the timeline indicating that your at the limit before it starts to repeat itself.
