  Novice user, basic questions i can’t figure out

  Didn’t know how to search for these basic issues I can’t figure out.

  First, the group/ungroup of video/audio. I know you HL the event and press ‘u’ and ‘g’ but sometimes it won’t ungroup even with the above and cut/copy/paste group events unchecked in the editing prefs. Its usually one particular track, the rest it will ungroup like it should. Can someone tell me why its inconsistent with that?

  Second, when deleting an event the whole timeline ahead of that point shifts backwards. This is esp annoying on ungrouped events where a tiny snippet gets pulled and lost somewhere on the already used timeline. Is there an option to stop it from doing that? Basically freeze things ahead of the deleted event from moving back.

  Third, when cutting snippets from huge audio/video files (like one sec, maybe less), it at first is fine…and then later on out of nowhere, the cut i made will no longer be the same. it will be alittle off, basically out of sync. What causes this and can i fix it?

  You cn set to ignore grouping, and disable ripple edit.
