  Poxy editing

  Just a quick question on the proxy editing process. If I have source AVCHD files at 1080/50i, do my proxy/intermediate files need to be at 50fps as well? I was hoping to edit DV AVI files (720 x 576 at 25fps)

  I don’t believe so. As long as the proxy video is the exact length as the HD video, it should work fine. That way when your done editing with the proxy and you replace it with the HD video with the same length, all your edits will be in the same places as with the proxy. Hope this helps, Danny Hays
