I have an AJA LHi capture card with my new system, with Vegas as my editor. I have finally worked out the gremlins with the settings on my AJA card and can evidently capture (SD) SDI footage using the AJA RS-422 deck control from the I/O cable bundle.

My question now, though, is that when I go to the Vegas video capture section, all I get is the big “DEVICE ERROR” smack in the face when it opens up. The help section is no help in figuring it out– it pretty much just says, “Select your device” (which I’ve done) and be on your merry way, which I’m not.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    THANK YOU

Kelly, you’ll be better off asking this question on the other Vegas forum.
Having said that, Black Magic is the preferred card for use with Vegas and, even then, it can be tricky to get it properly set up.
I could be mistaken here so ask for confirmation.
