  .mov in Sony Vegas

  Hello Everybody,

  Hoping you can help. I have had no success importing .mov files into the Sony Vegas 8 timeline. The audio imports while the video timeline just remains black. Very frustrating.

  Most of my previous work was imported from my JVC in AVCHD files. Now, I’m shooting some new stuff in a Canon 60D and it saves as an .mov. Sure do need to use this stuff.

  I downloaded the latest Quicktime player and it did nothing to help.

  Thanks for any guidance!

  Actually, that’s your problem. You need an OLDER version of Quicktime since you’re using Vegas 8. If you do a search for Quicktime, you’ll find all kinds of info related to this and links to the older version.
