  Zoom into video (seems to be a special problem)

  Hi there,

  Here a – on the first look – easy question: How can I zoom into a movie (or in my case, an animated picture)?
  I know, within the pan/crop tool of the track, just drag one edge of that big “F” square to the size I like. But, this does not work es I thought it should:

  Lets say the picture hast a resolution of 1280×720. As I said, I animated it already. Now, because of that picture moving from side to side, sometimes the black from outside to picture comes into sight. Sometime and one side, sometimes at the other, or at the top or bottom. You get want I mean – I guess.
  So what I wanted to do is: “Rezise” the picture inside the panorama/cropping event (I mean I wanted to zoom in the picture so when there is black somewhere, the picture is zoomed and thus no black to see. And when the black is gone, zoom out again. (So I really hope you understood what I mean.)

  And here is the Problem: That did not work. Instead of zooming in and thus filling the video with “less information” (I mean instead of showing only a part of the picture within the same as before sized video frame), it even got smaller, only showing the part inside the “F-Rectangle” but with even a bigger black frame around it.

  Now I found a work-araund (which was first rendering the picture as a video and afterwards again edit it inside a new project with the panorama/cropping event tool). But I am pretty sure that there is an solution you can tell me, withou having to “pre”-render the project…

  Sounds like you need to right-click the “F” window and choose “Match Output Aspect”.

  Well, I use the german version so no “Match Output Aspect” there. But I guess it is one of the two last given options?
  I tried those and… uhm… I had to click the two last choises several times to “fill” the video screen again. Did I do something wrong? Anyway… obviously there is a solution (not like with the other question I posted in another thread earlier). So: Thank you – a lot! 🙂
