  rendering

  hey,

  Im trying to render a wedding video and the quality seems to be lacking I’ve attempted messing with file types and setting but to be honest I’ve only ever used the program on artistic endeavours and this sort of area is very much out of my comfort zone.

  Ive imported from mini dv tapes as well as dv tapes, and within vegas preview the video runs well and looks good, as does the sound, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  Are you rendering to DVD?
  If yes, how long is the video?

  change to CBR at 8,000,000 rate AND change the project settings to “best quality” and 32-bit/video level pixels

  I forgot to add:

  Download and use the bit rate calculator, and use it to determine the optimum bit rate, especially if your wedding video is over 1 hour long. For example, trying to squeeze 3 hours on a DVD is going to look worse than a 1 hour production. The 1 hour version is unlikely to require compression, whereas the 3 hour edit will.
