Keeping audio/video in sync after editing audio
Using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9.0b (build 92)
Working with a new camera (Canon Vixia HF200).Problem No. 1: Preview almost useless to me. Video can’t keep up. Other than getting a more powerful computer to edit on, are there any workarounds?
Problem No. 2: We use a mono lapel mike (corded) so I only get one channel of sound. I’ve found how to duplicate that channel onto the other side (using Audacity) so I have mono sound on both left and right. While I’m at it, I use Audacity to remove background buzz. Works great. But when I put the audio back in, it appears slightly longer than it did before (and longer than the video) and it is out of sync.
How does one split the video/audio for editing and get it back in just the right place? (Problem No. 1 makes it hard/impossible to know if I have it right until after a render.
Thanks in advance for any responses!
