  Trimming multiple images

  Hey, I’m fairly inexperienced with Sony Vegas, and I just joined CreativeCow. I tried doing some searches for my issue first, but I couldn’t find anything definitive.

  I’m trying to do a time-lapse video with some photos that I took, but I was wondering if there was a way to select all of the images in the timeline and assign a mutual length to them. For example, when I drag an image in at the moment, it assigns a 5 second length to it (but I need it to be a length of about 3 frames instead.)

  I’m working with a lot of images, so I really don’t want to end up editing them all one by one.

  I’ve tried grouping all of the images and then using the CTRL+TRIM, but it still doesn’t shorten the images as much as I need.

  Set the value in Options – Prefs – Editing – New still image length (seconds) to the desired length.
  In your case, 0.1 sec. (assuming NTSC).

  And if you would like to trim or extend) all the events which are already on the timeline in one go, you can use e.g Excalibur for that.

  Thank you, Mike and Theo. I had spent a couple hours messing with options and looking for the answer in the help section of Sony Vegas, but to no avail.
