DVD Architect: chapter buttons quit working
I’m dealing with other issues in a different thread but here is something new I’m dealing with:
Using DVD Architect 5.0 to make menus for my Vegas Pro 9 created project.
I’ve got chapters set up where I want them and in the Preview mode the remote button navigation works just fine: pressing the virtual next button skips ahead one scene/chapter.
However, after burning the project to bluray the chapter up/down buttons don’t work at all. FF and REW continue to work but I can’t change chapters at all.
I can navigate through my various menus just fine its just when I get into the video portions of the project that this stops working. Play, stop, ff, rew, menu, all work fine but trying to skip ahead or back one scene/chapter doesnt happen.In the Remote Buttons area I’ve got previous & next turned ON and I’ve scoured the manual for any mention of my particular issue and am finding nada.
I do have 5-7 picture compilations in the project and I don’t know if that impacts anything or not. Incidently, although it works fine in the preview mode, the next/prev buttons don’t work in the picture compilations parts of the burned bluray disc either.

Well, I don’t have an explanation for this but I tried burning the DVD architect created .iso using Nero Burning Rom instead and that solved the problem.
Why DVDa can’t create a working bluray DVD start to finish is a mystery to me, but at least I have a work around.It would still be nice to know what the issue is, whether its some bug in DVDa or some setting I’m unaware of.

Well I was wrong.
My problem persists. The chapter selection works only the first time I play the video; if I navigate any of the menus I’ve created then the prev & next chapter buttons stop working.
If I press STOP and then PLAY the buttons magically start working again in the primary video, but will stop once I exit and select any other menu.
The chapters don’t work in any of the picture compilations either, at any time. -
Go to each page of thumbnails,double click on background,Hit “Control A” on your keyboard to show navigation arrows. They should point to the next thumbnail if not make sure you select “auto” in the navigation pane of button properties. (up,down,left,right) should all say auto. This should enable your DVD players remote.Let me know if this works Dave
