DVD Architect: start movie paused
I have a situation where I need to make a DVD with a movie that starts automatically, but it is paused.. Hitting the play button would play it..
This is for a projector system at a conference.. They want to put in the DVD and see nothing but black until they hit play, then the movie starts… That way if somebody takes up too much time talking, it won’t start too soon..
I know I can make a black background and have a movie with just a text box with no text in it, but you have to hit the ENTER button on the remote to start it.. I’m worried that it will just be a DVD player there and no remote, so the movie needs to play when they hit PLAY on the dvd console..
possible?

Is it not more simple to make a menu consisting of a black picture with just one button, covering the whole menu, This button can be without image, so containing only text. The text could be just black or even only the space bar.

Yes, that is basically what I have now.. But as I said, you have to hit ENTER on the remote to activate the button and play the movie.. I’m trying to cover my bases so if the DVD player doesn’t have a remote, they should be able to hit the PLAY button on the console and activate the movie.. How can I set PLAY to trigger the button just like ENTER..?

Since there is only one button in the menu (which obviously needs to be linked to your movie), the PLAY button on the DVD player will do its job…
