Vegas Track Motion Drop shadows getting cropped
It appears that the drop shadow only drops the visible portion of a scene. I noticed a typo, but my question involves a Triangular shadow under the text Kev Dog and Yoshitron. (please don’t hold me accountable for peoples nicknames lol) The shadow looks exactly like the visible portion of the clip as it enters the scene. It should look like a widescreen rectangle since the non-visible portion of the clip should still cast a shadow. How do I correct this? Click to enlarge.

I would duplicate the object (lowering the opacity and probably feather) and make it so that it is a child of the main widescreen rectangle so that it follows the same path. This way you are dealing with an actual object and it behaves as such.

I actually kinda figured it out earlier. I used Track motion for the 2D shadow, had the shadow start small and come to meet the clip when it “landed” I used pan/crap to bring the spinning clip in from outside the frame, and shrink down to create the “falling” effect.
I removed the motion from the pan/crop and used Track Motion to deal with the motion of the clip. No more chopped up shadows.
This unfortunately limits me to 1 rotation, where pan/crop could store the info for numerous rotations (3 or 4 while the clip was “falling”) per keyframe. so I have the shadow and motion figured out, just need to add keyframes to go past 360 degrees of rotation.
