Hi, should i use the ntse dv template for this type of project. all the photos are jpeg and taken with the same camera nikon d70, and settings. And should I use “match output aspect” in the event pan crop tool?
Also I notice some of the photos have glittery artifacts in them after rendering a selection. The final output will be on dvd.
    thanks.

I would resize your image to no more than double the project size you are outputting to (too big of a picture file will eat up your memory).

Once done there, I would download Vasst’s photo montage tool (free trial) and use it to import your images to the timeline with pan/crop already set, aspect already set to match project and anti-flicker turned on (you can do this manually- as you can with everything else as well if you right click the media and go to properties and turn on anti-flicker).

Here is the link– check it out.

It sets up the pan and crops according to what you want and then all you have to do is go back and tweak them how you want and it will fit to length of song, etc.

Let us know if you have any questions!

Hey thanks for the reply Jeremy, I will check out that download, seems like it will save a lot of time, even though I have been having fun discovering things using the pan crop tool. Still trying to fully understand the key frame characteristics of: linear, fast, smooth, sharp, and hold. But I guess in time and practice I will finally wrap my head around it. I did have one other question, since the stills are JPEG am I limited to using the NTSE DV 720×480 preset? or can I use another. What would a professional use? I don’t really understand what you said about the image size I know how to resize the image in photoshop, what size would you suggest to be optimal. again thanks for the info…
