Text over video
Hello –
I believe what I am trying to do is relatively easy, but I cannot seem to find the proper way to do it in any of the tutorials I have watched so far.I would like to have a small amount of text remain in the upper left portion of the screen for the duration of a video clip. In order to have the text readable, I would like to have a solid color background behind the text. But only behind the text, so that the rest of the clip is visible.
I have experimented with a combination of a Text Media Generator, Solid Color Media Generator, and a Cookie Cutter Video FX. However, the limitations of the Cookie Cutter function don’t allow me to create a rectangle that matches the size and placement of the text.
I am sure this is user error on my part. In all of the tutorials I have seen to date, it seems quite easy to make text swoop in from the side seemingly on fire and being riddled with invisible machine gun fire and drops of acid. Just having white Arial font on a blue background camped out in the corner should be quite simple I would imagine.
Thanks for any pointers you might have!
