I pretty much finished editing a long video interview.

I trimmed a lot of excess and now have many events left over. Everything seems good BUT one of the events has a pink background on the timeline which makes me wonder what that means and what I may have done to cause it and if I need to fix now before going further with the project?

That one event sounds a little funny like maybe it overlaps the preceding event a little bit. Could that be so and could that explain the pink background as an alert or something?

Any help is greatly appreciated and I have had several kind tips in the forum already on my project.

    Many thanks!

The reddish frame is generally a sign of a corrupted event. You might try deleting and replacing the event.

Ah. I tried deleting the offending event, but the red section just transfers to an adjacent event. Is there anything I can do to force it to delete cleanly?

Or, if I undo about 30 deleted events, then the red area finally disappears. I wonder if I should try to redo all those cuts? (Seems like a lot of work to redo.:-()

Can you highlight that section and do a render to new track? How does that look?

Ooh…thanks for the tip…it made me think of something and I think I lucked out.

When I tried to select the event, it wanted to include the event adjacent to the left. So I managed to select the part to be deleted with the Loop Region tool above the timeline, then press S to reslice. That worked and I WAS able to DEL.

    Thank you so much!
