  Re-programming the spacebar

  Hi,
  The one thing I truly hate now, moving to Vegas from Avid and Premiere is that when I press the spacebar to stop the cursor goes to the beginning of the play rather than just stop. I do realize K does this but constantly forget to use it. Is there a way to repogram the spacebar so it acts the same way as K does? I could not find it.

  Options – Prefereces – check the option to Make the space bar/F12 Play/Pause instead of Play/Stop

  In reality, you’re wanting it to “pause” which keeps the cursor at the current location instead of “stop” which returns the cursor to where you started playing. By default, the space bar does a play/stop and the ENTER key does a play/pause. Just change the above option and the space bar will then play/pause.
