  Cropping / Chroma / Track FX PIP

  Hi, I want to do cropping and/or PIP track effects but I don’t want to have a boring rectangle PIP, I want OTHER geometric shapes like maybe a circle or ellipse! Is this possible?

  Here’s a couple of possibilities:

  1. Use the Cookie Cutter which has several different shapes.

  2. Use the Bezier Mask in Pan/Crop which can make shapes however you desire.

  3. Create a mask in a paint progrma which you can then use to create an irregularly shaped PIP.

  All of the above options are described in various issues of my newsletters. #2 requires the full version of Vegas (I don’t think it’s available in the “Movie Studio” versions).

  Ahh! Cookie Cutter oval with feathering is EXCELLENT! Does the job PERFECTLY! Yay!
