  NTSC footage in PAL project?

  Hi all,
  I’m just about buying an HDR-HC7 Camcorder in the states (a friend of mine is going there and he will bring it back to my Country in South America). In my country we use PAL as broadcast system.

  The HDR-HC7E is the PAL model of the camcorder, but it costs nearly 300 dollars more than the NTSC version. What happens if i shoot in NTSC and then work in vegas in PAL? Would that create too many troubles / loss of quality?

  I want the camera for filming clips mainly for videoart and vj purposes.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  You will have more than $300 in headaches always having to convert everything you shoot.

  Thanks. In fact, that’s exactly what i’ve investigated so far. Not good having an NTSC camcorder in PAL land.
