Hello. I would like to create a 3D Blu Ray disc from a video source that is a Side By Side “3D” file. So basically taking the two half frames and stretching them out to be 2 consecutive full 1080p frames that a 3D Blu Ray player can play in 3D. I heard rumours that Sony Vegas can do this. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and how it might be done?

    Thanks!

Sure Vegas can do that. You have to import your sbs half footage in a s3D project, set the event properties to s3D, and use the Sony AVC/MVC encoder to render the mvc footage. Can be 1080 24p or 720 50p/60p only. Import the footage in the DVDA6 to author it (menus are 2D only). Or you render from the Vegas (also Moviestudio) timeline to create the ISO of the 3D BD.

    Kind regards,
    Wolfgang
