How do I crop a moving image and hold it in place?
In the main video a person is moving his hand around while talking. I want to zoom in on his hand and put it in a picture-in-picture on the top-right.
I know how to crop his hand, but because I am moving the crop around to follow his hand, I can’t hold the crop in place at the top-right.
I’m sure this has a simple solution, but I just can’t figure it out! Thank you for any help!

Hi,
You can copy the layer so you have 2 the same layers. Then you can right-click on the second and select pan/crop. I think you already know this step. Now you see a timeline under the video at pan/crop. It works easy, you can select a square and crop it, then you add another square and crop it too. Vegas will automatic smooth the movement. I hope this is what you mean.

That was it, thank you! I kept automatically going to Mask in the Pan/Crop, and that’s why it was moving around. I’m new to Vegas so I’m still getting confused over the basic features.
