I just watched a youtube Vegas Pro 13 tutorial
    (https://youtu.be/sqsWdp3xWzw)
that showed how to edit an 1440×1080 HDV footage.
Well my question is the following:
To me 1440×1080 is 4:3 ratio right ?
But the Vegas Preview window would show the clip
in what looks like a 16:9 format..
In fact the Vegas Preview window states:
    Project: 1440x1080x32, 25,000i
    Preview: 360x270x32, 25,000p
    Display: 593x334x32

Are the pixels not square ??
    I’m confused here..

    Hi J-P,

You are correct. The pixel aspect ratio for HDV is 1.3333. So vegas will display and render as 16:9 aspect ratio (HD).

The pixel aspect ratio for HD is 1.0000 square, which is also displayed and rendered as 16:9 aspect ration.

    Best Regards…..George
