  • Editing XAVC from Sony F55 – pixel format, compositing gamma etc.

    Hello,

I am editing a music video on the latest version of Sony Vegas Pro 12.

My footage is XAVC QFHD (3840 x 2160) 25p captured from the Sony F55 – this footage is 10bit 422.

This is an online edit, and will be graded on vegas.

I’m wandering what PIXEL FORMAT, COMPOSITING GAMMA and VIEW TRANSFORM (if any) I should be using to get the max out of my footage.

The video will eventually be rendered out to uncompressed MOV and then there will be a final conform (done by someone else) in which the MOV will be coverted to PRORES for TV and INTERNET delivery.

    Many thanks,

    Will
