  • Preview Device is not scaling preview.

I have Vegas Pro 12 on a beefy laptop that has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M video card and Win 8.1. On the HDMI out I have a Visio SV370XVT (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002L9SZD2/?tag=whois03-20), which I’m using as my preview device.

When I go to preview on the Visio I see I only see about a 3rd of the screen from the upper left corner. I installed the recent Nvidia drivers and tried all the I options possible on the Preview Device tab in Preferences.

The TV works fine as a monitor for all of my other apps. It would be perfect if I could get this issue resolve. Thanks.

Under Options | Preferences | Preview Device do you have [x] Scale output to fit display checked?

That might fix it as long as it thinks that the HDMI output is a Windows Secondary Display.

Thanks so much John. I did play with that setting to no avail. I fixed it by upgrading to Windows 10 and then upgrading my Nvidia driver. After that I could see a display setting that said the monitor was over scanning at 150%. I turn it down to 100 and all is well.

    Have a Happy New Year!
