    Hi
I need some way to spot heal, like in photoshop, but in AE.

I have a 10k photo time lapse with a few spots from dirt on the CCD.
AE doesnt seems to have anything like spot healing unfortunately and photoshop wont let me use actions with the spot healer so Im a bit stuck.

    Any ideas?

Im sure this would help a lot of people

    thanks joe ger

Its funny how you always think of a way to do it after you write to a forum.

    I removed the spots by

    1 creating an adjustment layer
2 drawing masks around the spots
3 feathering the masks , 5 pixels worked well for me
4 add a levels effect to the layer
5 set levels gamma to 1.04, ie slightly lighter , adjust yourself until it looks good

I’m glad you got it figured out. I was going to say there’s a tutorial here on the COW about it, but you’ve already got it solved!
