Vegas – After putting video huge lag
Hello I have problems with video editing or better said the importing itself. I put the video creates a copy with the extension .sfk which I always wait, and then I’ll go into editing. the problem comes immediately from the wing when i press on preview “play”. There ends my edits because I get huge lag and although I waited for about an hour nothing has changed, or until it shutdown it and eats me 75-90% CPU.My specs for somebody who will tell me that is because i have shitty comp:i

12 Gb of DDR3 RAM
Viruses, rubbish and mess the pc’s also cannot be the fault because i care about my computer very well. Also codecs such as Quick Sync or mp4 I downloaded and updated. Anyone who will help me with a problem, will be my god, because for now it makes impossible to publish videos and I’m frustrated …
Also please don´t hate me for bad english. Im Czech… -

Sometimes when pressing Play and the video doesn’t play it’s actually an audio issue. Make sure that your audio device settings in Vegas Pro match the hardware audio card that you are using.
If you installed any codec-packs like “K-Lite” these can mess Vegas Pro up. I would uninstall any codec-packs if you have them.
Finally, the codec used by your source video could be the problem. You didn’t say what codec it uses. Use a tool like MediaInfo to figure this out if you don’t know.

My guess is that its definitely the codec used in your source video as John
