Sony Vegas Pro Frame Stutter Issue
Hi, I am having an issue with my Sony Vegas, It happens in both Sony Vegas Pro 12 and 13. The clip that I am using is normal but once I drag it into Sony Vegas it starts skipping frames/going back a few frames every few seconds.
My specs:CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 @3.4Ghz
GPU: Geforce GTX 780
Memory: 16 GB RAM
OS: 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium

The link isn’t working. Anyway i your clip is doing all of that in both
Vegas 12 and 13, that means something is indeed wrong with the clip, Or
it is a format/codec that Vegas does not play well with.What you fail to mention is the detailed information of the format of this video file and its source…

Okay, well I can’t get the link to work for some reason, but the video was originally a .mkv file but I use VLC Media Player to convert it to a MP4 with these settings.
The “Encapsulation” is MP4/MOV
The video codec is H-264, it has 800 kb/s bitrate and the audio codec is MPEG Audio, although the audio isn’t important, I just need the video to work. Tell me if you need anything else, I could be converting it with a wrong codec or something but I’ll put a couple pictures here if that will help.

Have you tried encoding it to another format apart from mp4?

Hi, I tried converting to both of those, Sony Vegas doesn’t let me use AVI’s and mjpegs are just a blank document for me. Do I need another program for this?

I actually tried downloading the original file as an mp4 and it works fine, I guess I’ll just have to find those as downloads. Thanks for the help anyway!

ok good…. Now thinking, if you had used handbrake instead to convert them,
