  AE/Computer acting up

  Running AE on a Vista 64 system w/8 gig of ram. Will work a bit on AE and select something like ram preview. It will run for a few seconds and them quit responding and the screen goes light. If I wait long enough it comes back.

  Any ideas what might cause this?

  Have you checked your ram settings in AE prefs?
  And your cpu usage w/ other apps?

  My system’s not quite as good as yours, but I used to have that problem cause I starved AE of ram and had too many other apps going at the same time.
