If you have to render the video and audio, separately…How do you control the sum to be less that 4 gig, to fit a DVD?

If your program is under 70 min. long, I use a CBR of 8,000,000 for video.
Anything longer and I use Mark’s bitrate calculator to determine optimum settings and render it using the 2 pass option for maximum quality.
I use Best mode for video and the default AC-3 audio settings for both options.

Thanks, Mike. Can you tell me where I can change the bitrate?

Once you choose your template (e.g. DVD Architect NTSC video stream), click the Custom button. This screen comes up and that’s where you make your changes.
