The Dreaded Wave Hammer Beeps
So I just upgraded from Vegas 9 to Vegas 13. I love everything in 13, except I’ve stumbled upon the dreaded Wave Hammer beeping bug. For those unfamiliar, for some reason, when you upgrade, sometimes the Wave Hammer plugin fails to activate itself upon installation and is stuck in “demo” mode. In demo mode, the Wave Hammer annoyingly beeps every three or four seconds.
I spent four hours last night Googling the problem. The problem evidently goes back to at least version 6. There are many people who’ve reported the problem at as far back as 2008, but no fixes have been posted. So I sent off a message to Sony support and wait.
In the meantime, the main purpose I use the Wave Hammer for is the volume maximizer.
So I have two questions. The first, I don’t expect any answers for, but I’ll throw it out anyway: Does anyone know of a solution to the vexing Wave Hammer beeping?
Second question: Barring an actual solution, does anyone know how I can achieve the same effect as the Wave Hammer volume maximizer with another plugin?

Well, its a well established and highly reported issue, hence to
this point, there is no solution to the issue (sadly), apart
from hunting/googling for another volume maximizer plugin in your case.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

I found if I leave my previous version of Vegas installed the beep problem was solved.
