Twixtor rendering slow sony vegas 13
Alright so I am using sony vegas pro 13 and I’m trying to render a twixtor clip and I used twixtor for 30 seconds and it’s taking like 3 hours to render. The part without twixtor renders really fast but when it reaches twixtor it goes EXTREMELY slow. Is there a way to fix this?

Twixtor resampling of video is a very compute intensive operation. It is what it is. Twixtor 6 can use GPU, so if you have a fast GPU that may help.

Twixtor is a render intensive plugin, that takes a lot of time no
matter how you cut it. Greater GPU Processing may be the only way to cut

You need a video card with 1GB memory (or more) that supports OpenCL 1.1 (minimum).

I got a nvidia geforce 720m 2gb with a i7, why does it render sooooo sloe?

First of all laptops are slooow for video editing.
720m has only 96 cores, Fermi, so is not top of the line either.
Lately, check to see if you really are using the nVidia with your software (Optimus might use only the Intel video card if you don’t force it). -
You would need a better card than that Xiben, to push any real

This is NOT a Vegas Pro issue.
OK, some Real-World GPU tests I just did with an almost 22 second clip using TWIXTOR6. The figures are Minutes:Seconds
GPU ON Render Time 1:51
GPU OFF Render Time 6:31
In fact, by the time the “GPU ON” render had finished, the “GPU OFF” session was little more than a quarter (27.75%) completed.
This shows several things. Topmost is that GPU really does have an advantageous effect, AND this is not a Vegas problem, this is purely down to what others have said here – it’s the hardware: Better GPU options (VidCard; VidCard Architecture<>MoBo; VidCard Memory; for nVidia I apply/force GPU within the nVidia setup too!) the faster – like 3.54 times faster! I can achieve.
NB: I do NOT have a QUADRO Card either. Presently, I am very happy with my lowly card, and what it can do.

Bernand, your card is not that “lowly” 🙂
It has a maximum performance of 1263.4 GFLOPS in Single Point mode (relevant number for video editing).
The OP card has only 320 GFLOPS.For reference, an i7 4770K (at 4.6 GHz) has only about 100 GFLOPS.
An i7 2600K @ 3.4Ghz has around 44 GFLOPS. -

Nicu, I should have said “lowly-priced“, that is compared to a QUADRO.
Wow, 4 x times the GFLOPS?!? Who’d have thought?
