Stroke effect vs brush size and reveal image
Hi all of you out there!
I have a problem I can not figure out. It has to be an easy solution, but I can not find it right now when I need it, and my anger rises…
I have a text “Velkommen” with the edwardian script font.
I want the text to looks like its written. (I tried the write on effect, but it has no start/end option. And it is much harder to set keyframes for a smooth progress on the revealing of the underlying text)
Then I made a path with the pen tool, and added the stroke effect with the reveal image box marked.
It works fine until I start to make the fine adjustment as I would like the letters to be shown the right way as written on the screen.
My first problem is the start – “V-e-l”. My primary thought was to make the path from the “V” and set the brush size from 7 to 1 to get in between the “e” and the “l” (“squeeze the paths visability”)to get the stroke effect to start from the right spot inside the “e”, not having to write over the c like shape on the left curve over the e body.
But when I change the keyframe value from 7 to 1, the “V” who looks perfect also changes its value to 1… So everytime i change the brush size, all the mask is changing into a blinking thing.
I have tried to set the keyframe value from 7 in one frame and 1 in the next, but it dont seem to work..
I have looked through all the tutorials with signature and the AfterIsta and so, but they do not cover the wish of changing the visible revealing brush size.
Hope that someone may have an easy answer to this. I should have known it I feel, but maybe its to late in the night and my brain has stopped working properly, so it might be restarted again with your help!
Best wishes
B
