  • PNG gets slightly cropped when adding to my SV video

I have a small logo in PNG format that I like to put on the corner of my videos. When I look at the logo in Photoshop, it’s a nice color icon with that checkedboard pattern in the background that tightly hugs the outline (but doesn’t cut into it).

But now that I look closer, the edge of the PNG icon gets slightly cutoff when I add it to my Vegas file (it just put it on a video track). Any idea why this happens and what I can do to stop it? I’ve tried enlarging the canvas size, but it still gets cut off when I use it with Vegas.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.

Open the Pan/Crop window, right click and select Match Output Aspect, resize and position as desired. That should do the trick for you.

Make sure you select Match Output Aspect in the Event Pan/Crop Window

Be sure to check that the icon is within the safe area on the screen.
