Vegas 13 pro: imported files without audio track
I’m pretty much desperate guys.
I’ve read some topics even here at Creative Cow, but none helped, so I’ve decided to explain better.
When I import MP4 files do Vegas 13 (audio codec code is “40”), they code into the program with no sound at all. I’ve tried reinstalling Vegas, removing and putting back in K-Lite (wich now I know that sucks), reinstalling my old codec packs… But none of the options worked.Please tell me the following:
How do I get rid of all codecs?
How do I install codecs correctly?
Wich codec packs (or something like it) in order to open AVI and MP4 into Vegas?Thans in advance!

Before getting into the CODEC option, I’ve got to ask, how do you KNOW you aren’t getting any AUDIO?

Because when I open the file though Quicktime, theres audio. When I import it to Vegas, the audio track doesnt appear.

If you’re using the newest version of QuickTime, try an older one and see if that helps.

What does Movie Inspector in QuickTime player (Window – Show Movie Inspector) say about the audio?
