    Hey Guys,

May be a better post for the Maya forum, but is anyone using camera data from Maya? I started a new job and we have a maya animator on staff and we’re trying to figure out how that workflow works. We’ve had a couple successful imports, but the camera movement is incorrect. Any good leads or info?

Um.. the only place I’ve seen any references to that being done is on videocopilot.net

tutorial section – look for something like “meteor tutorial” its a 3 part video.. he uses something like what you’re looking for..

I seem to remember the coordinates being switched or something (x and z) it might have been boujou im thinking of there though, he covers it..

    sry cant be anymore help…

One difference in the camera data is the co-ordinates scale… not sure of the details, but people using Boujou (software for 3D tracking) have to go through a process to use the camera data (in Maya format) in AE.

Here is a link about that which may be similarly useful for you.
