Where can I download Sony’s ‘Red Car’ test?
Posted by Tom Ross on August 3, 2014 at 4:37 pmI have come across mention of the ‘red car’ test in various posts and have been doing some recent benchmarks with a couple of different GPU’s
I used JR’s own test but would like to have a go with the red car one as well.
The link in one of the posts just goes to Sony’s site but I can’t find it there even doing a search.
Have googled it as well but can’t find where the download file is
Can anyone post a link?
Thanks
Tom

August 3, 2014 at 11:12 pmUnfortunately, Sony no longer that that file on their website. It is a 2GB file so it is hard for individuals to make available.

August 4, 2014 at 1:13 amYes, they seemed to have taken it down unfortunately. I can’t imagine why, it was a great benchmark.

August 4, 2014 at 1:23 amI think they took that page down because all the video cards listed were old cards and people online complained about no info on current cards.
That GPU accel page was the only place with a link to the project ZIP file download. They should have put a file link on some other page. They could remove the PDF inside the ZIP file if they don’t tables listing old video cards.

August 4, 2014 at 8:26 pmHi David
That’s strange as it downloaded fine for me this afternoon…I downloaded it from Simon’s link and it worked ok…was 2.5gb so fairly big but it did download…just clicked on it now and it still seems to be still fine.

August 5, 2014 at 10:41 amYea, the link works for me too. I’m using the Safari browser but try a different browser and see if that helps.
