  moving my preset

  I created a preset, but it was placed in the text scale folder for some reason. How do I move it to the folder that I want? or better yet, how do I make a custom named folder with all my created presets in it?

  I have a harder time managing my various AE preferences on my Mac systems so I’ll leave that to someone else to answer, but if you’re on a Windows system, go here C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS3\Support Files\Presets (or to the Vista equivalent) and create the folder structure you want your custom presets in then move your preset to that folder and save any new ones you make in there.

  By the way, your preset probably saved in the folder you told it to save to since AE defaults to the most recently used preset subfolder and will save there unless you change it the window you get when saving a new preset.
