  • Question on rendering video from camera phone

Posted by Dave Petteruto on July 6, 2014 at 5:21 pm

    Hello All,
I have about 5 gigs of video clips that my son shot at the World Cup on a camera phone. Vegas(12) tells me the clips are mp4 1920 x 1080 Frame rate 30. What I need to do is render them into one file that can be put onto a thumb drive. My son plugs the thumb drive into a Playstation then plays it on the tv. If possible I don’t want to lose quality and I would like it to stay full frame so it fills the entire tv screen. What would my best rendering options be?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Dave P.

You need to check your Playstation specs. I know the Playstation 3 will play Blu-ray discs so rendering to Blu-ray format, even on a thumb drive might work. Otherwise use either Sony AVC or MainConcept AVC with the Internet 1080-30p template. That should work assuming the Playstation will play videos from a thumb drive.

The Sony AVC Internet 1080-30p would be my template of choice.
