I usually open Vegas (Pro 10c) by double clicking the project file, but on the offchance I load the program normally I almost always get a “your last project didn’t save properly, would you like to restore?”

I had one today and out of curiousity I said yes, it restored a month old project, none of the so called projects that ‘didn’t save properly’ were wrong, they all saved correctly.

I don’t think I had these error messages when I was on the 32bit version, should I be loading vegas through the exe and then opening the project just to make it happy?

Vegas Pro checks your temporary files folder for unsaved projects and if it finds one it will load it. So if the file is a month old, you probably never clean out your temporary files folder and Vegas is finding old stuff. I always change the default for Vegas’ temporary files folder to be the system temporary files folder and then I have a job that entries that out on every boot.
