Vegas playback problems in preview screen
See attached video and please help me solve this issue.
This was a working Vegas install and now this.
Any suggestions?

The way the picture is breaking up there — I wouldn’t know how to do that if I *wanted* to. I can’t imagine what’s going on there. Do you have any effect on it at all, or is it a simple crossfade that’s going crazy?

I have the same problem. It happened when I put text over the image. The text was fine but the video image started to go wrong.
I now have gone so far as to re-install Windows and all software, including of course SVP12, but it’s still there. I tried removing the text, which seemed to fix the preview. But now it won’t render. So I’m even lost further than I already was.This fluttering not only happened when I put text over video, but also when I had added an event effect. Removing the media from the project and re-inserting it, did help for the moment. But after a fresh start, it could be back again.
I do hope someone has the answer. I have to deliver video’s very soon but I can’t render them in any usable way. Yes, the flutter does get into the rendered video as well !!!

I guess I’m fortunate in that my renders are fine, just the previews.
As you can see there is no text over this single video track.
I’ll do some more experimenting and maybe find some more clues.

I had exactly the issue you are seeing. I solved it by removing my ATI card and installing an nVidia.

Larry – try setting the preview to full-screen. Just an experiment.
