    Hello,
I have a customer who brought me in a bunch of MP4 in Full D1 720×480 format.
He wants me to combine them all and make a DVD for him.
What is the best rendering settings for that? Should I render to a MPEG 2 like I normally do? Or render to MP4 and if so what settings?

    I have Sony 8 & 11

Also are these original files good for DVDs? He understands that quality may be lost but wants to send some to his Mom who doesn’t have a computer.

Render to an RW DVD and test it. I would!

Yes, I can test it. But there are so many parameters I don’t know which one to even start with. Should it be rendered as a MPEG or a MP4? And if so which settings.

    MPEG for DVDs

    MP4 for DATA-DVDs

    Easy as that.

    [Graham Bernard] “MPEG for DVDs”

Yea, as Graham said, there is no confusion. It doesn’t matter what the source video is. You always render DVD’s using MainConcept MPEG-2 with the DVD Architect templates. A DVD is a DVD.
