  Crossfade/hotkeys

  I have a project where I am taking multiple still images, .jpgs, and am putting them into the timeline, as kind of a slide show. I then have to grab each image, and move it into the one before it to create the crossfade. With 20 images, this can be a bit time consuming.

  I’m wondering if there is a way where I can select all 20 of the still images, and automatically have them all crossfade into each other.

  Anyone know?

  Look at your editing preferences. “Automatically overlap multiple selected media when added”. You can only do this at the time you add things to the timeline.

  After things are on the timeline, then utilities like Vegasaur have numerous functions to automate all kinds things like this. The kitchen sink really.

  You can buy a plug-in like VASST Still Motion for $9.95 USD and and built photo montages with just a few clicks. It can change the crossfades of your photos on the timeline and a whole to more.

  StillMotion is Awesome.

  When I did a big slideshow project a while back I wish I had StillMotion for the whole time. I found out about it about half the way through doing the project.

  Is VASST “Still Motion” plug-in, compatible with Vegas Movie Studio 13 Platinum as well?

  I visited the VASST site and got impressed with the Still Motion
  plug-in’s capabilities (and the price) but, I noticed the requirement mentions VS 12 only.

  Is the site updated?

  Yes, it is. We added support when Movie Studio 13 Platinum was announced. It also supports the regular (non-Platinum) Movie Studio 13 as well as Vegas Pro 13.0.

  I will order “Still Motion” and perhaps another plug-ins when I get the chance.

  I do a lot of slideshows and videos as a hobby and looking forward to use the “Still Motion”.
