  pro 12 fx docking issue

  for some reason im having an issue with having my preview window open and fx applied to view without losing preview window. if i click on fx tab video preview goes away. i have to apply the effect on then open preview back up. theres room on screen for both why is this happening?

  It sounds like you have the fx window docked in the same area as the preview window. You can undock the fx window and leave it undocked(floating) or dock it somewhere else.

  I usually leave mine docked in the same group as project media.

  Or set your Window Layouts back to Default.
