Digital Juice Simplexity and Ready 2 Go Drop Zones in Sony Vegas
Hello All,
I am an amateur Vegas Pro user. I am trying to use Digital Juice’s Simplexity and Ready 2 Go products in Sony Vegas but for the life of me cannot figure out how to replace drop zones with my own footage. If I drag the clip onto the drop zone, it only crossfades. If I turn auto-crossfade off, my clip simply goes behind the template drop zone media already in place. Deleting the drop zone (they show this in a tutorial) also deletes all of the keyframes associated with it. Anyone know how to use these dj products in Sony Vegas? Thanks.

Simply right click on the digital juice generic files
in the Project Media window, then select Replace
and choose the video file you want in that exact spot.Steve Rhoden

Thanks Aleksey. Unfortunately that is the tutorial that I watched. They simply delete the drop zone and add their clip in place. This is fine for the particular project in the demo because it is nothing but a background video. The rest of the effects are on top of that video layer. In my project, the drop zones move in sync with other animation elements. Deleting the drop zone deletes the keyframes and pan/crop settings. I found that by right clicking and dragging the media to the time line i am presented with options to replace the drop one and maintain all of the formatting.

Since the DJ forum is closed down, is there somewhere I can find DJ users for hire? I’m looking for a couple of people/teams for our new website.
