    Hello,

I’m looking for very simple option and I’m stuck

Well, let’s say I have 5 paragraphs of text (or perhaps a simple list). And I would like to make them appear one after another, synced with a keyframes for example.

How I can achieve it without doing 5 separate tracks? When I have like 20 places I want to do that, it comes really unhandy later. And when I have like 70 movies to do like this.. you know 🙂 I’m searching for a solution, that will let me do this in a more automated way.

    thanks

edit: of course the question is about placing a fade in effect on every paragraphs. Showing next one after another can be easily achieved by making an animation of text layer.

Look at the Fade in/out video event question thread as it has a script for fading events in and/or out that might be what you’re looking for.

You can do this very easily in NewBlue Titler Pro. This would be my first choice. One of the standard fade in animations might be all you need, otherwise you can use its timeline.

You can also do this in the Protype titler. It has a cascade feature I remember reading about that could be useful here. Sorry I cannot say more. I use Titles and Text or NewBlue.

Both of the above can have multiple independent text blocks in a single event.

I have done something similar to what you ask in Titles and Text, in one event, but only with two lines. You can keyframe the text in Titles and Text but you don’t really have control over fading. I just had my second line pop in.

ProType Titler can do this and even animate the characters, words, or entire lines of text. The only limitation is that the timeline is not synced with the Vegas Pro timeline which makes it extremely difficult to keyframe.

If you don’t need to animate the text, this would be my choice because it’s the simplest.

Don’t forget you could also have multiple text events with each one having more lines of text and when the next event appears the new text will appear. No keyframing required.
